Julia walks for Gateway Drama

Julia Karran, a member of the Gateway Drama group, competed in the Parish Walk last Saturday and reached her goal of Santon Church in 3 hours 38minutes and 42 seconds. This was the first time she had ever competed in a walking race. She raised money for Gateway Drama and will now collect in the money pledged and present it to the Group when it returns from its summer break in September.

Manx Gateway Club Need Volunteers

The Manx Gateway Club meets every Tuesday night at Centre 21, Greenfield Road Douglas to provide activities for any person suffering with Learning Disability. We try to provide a wide range of activities from Music and Dance, to Art and Craft to Sport related activities and to computer training. We are also open to any new ideas that will benefit the members.

On Saturday January 13th, the Gateway Club held their Annual Dinner Dance at the Palace Hotel. A record number of 142 people attended and enjoyed excellent food provided by the Palace, great music from Henry and the biggest raffle in the IOM!

Olga Awarded an MBE

Olga Gray, the Patron of the Manx Gateway Drama Group and its founding Chairman, was awarded an MBE in the New Year Honours for her work, not only with Manx Gateway, but also with The Manx Amateur Drama Federation and Breast Cancer Charities among others.
