One down, one to go! This weekend (Sunday 13th March) Michael completed the first of his fell race challenges.
Here’s a message from Michael after the event:
I am pleased to report that I completed the Bradda Fell Race yesterday. We started near Bradda Head before heading off north, turning around near Niarbyl and to head back the same way we came out. I know it is reputed to be the most difficult fell race on the island so I suppose I should not have been surprised to have struggled the whole way. 5,000 feet of ascent probably had something to do with it. I was 48/52 in a time of 4 hrs 13.57 mins for the 14.14 miles I covered. I was pleased to come home and have a cold beer, followed by a Chinese takeaway collected by my son, thank goodness!
Well done Michael and keep up the training for the next big challenge – the Isle of Man Mountain Ultra on 24 September 2016.
So far Michael has raised a fabulous £425!! If you would like to donate to Michael, please visit his page here.
