After months of effort, this Saturday (24th September) is the culmination of Michael Taits HUGE efforts in raising money for Project 21 – the Isle of Man Mountain Ultra which is 31.7m (51km) with 8,202ft (2500m) of ascent! Wow!

He has currently raised a whopping £830 through your online donations, personally selling cards, doing car boot sales and selling items of furniture but would love to reach the £1000 mark. He’s also personally matching the PayPal charges that we get for taking your donations – he’s a super star!

Michaels birthday is the day after the Ultra (25th September) so what better way to wish him a Happy Birthday than getting to his £1000 target?
Here is a brief update from Michael on what he’s been doing over the summer:

Just a brief update to say I completed the long Narradale race at 14 miles and the shorter North Barrule at 5 miles which means to date I have done 9/9 of the races that count for the league, the Port to Port race did not count.

I have the Ultra which is the big one for me, unchartered territory and the Kate Burge which I have entered which is the last of the League.

I have had a short break in Barcelona with the boys and am back in training with running, cycling, swimming and core exercises. I am refreshed but am back in earnest.

Any donation will be welcome. A pound here a pound there, it all adds up.

Thank you from everyone at Project 21 Michael – you really are a super star!
